Spend Time in the Park

Horaien

A beautiful and expansive garden with a wonderful view for all the four seasons of Hakone.
The 16,000-square-meter garden was established in the Taisho era by Kyozo Enomoto, the founder of the ryokan.
Approximately 30,000 azalea plants of 40 different types bloom around May every year.

    Hakone Kowakien Yunessun

    Families can enjoy Hakone Kowakien Yunessun. You can enjoy the family hot spring “Yunessun” in a bathing suit . You may also enjoy the open-air bath, cypress bath, the day spa "Mori no Yu", as well as the restaurant.

      Fukurokuju

      The Fukurokuju shrine is located on the grounds of Yunessun. Fukurokuju is known as the god of money and learning. You can come to pray for a long, prosperous life, or for your children to be wise.

        Cycling in Hakone

        Explore Hakone on a mountain bike. This is a great way to enjoy activities in the great outdoors. If you are an active person, cycling is the way to go. Enjoy the scenery of the four seasons and have an extraordinary time!

          Hiking in Hakone

          Would you like to go hiking in Hakone? You can feel the beautiful nature and history. Owakudani is a relic from the time when Mt. Hakone was an active volcano. Other mountains in the outer edges of Hakone include To-no-mine, Myojyo-ga-take, Myojin-ga-take, and Kintoki-zan. The best time to go hiking is from April to December.

            Chisuiji Falls is a hidden sight in Kowakudani. You can walk through the nature of Hakone and feel the negative ions!

            Lake Ashi

            Lake Ashi is the largest lake in Kanagawa Prefecture. If you are lucky, on a clear day, you will be able to see Mt. Fuji upside-down on the surface of the lake. There are several ports on the shore of the lake, and sightseeing boats that connect them.
